BackerKit Smoke Test on the way!

Hey Backers,
Our BackerKit Survey is almost ready! For some of you, you may have already received an invitation by email to fill out your survey. If you did, this is because you are part of the BackerKit Smoke Test which is where 5% of backers from each pledge reward level is sent an invite. We will use the next 24 hours or so to see if there are any issues before sending out the rest of the invites.
Kickstarter ADD-ONS
If you purchased the $50 Get Both REKT ADD-ON on Kickstarter when you made your initial pledge, you will see it already added to your BackerKit shopping cart. You should not see a fee for this but if you do, please contact us so we can fix it.
Removable Thumb Stud ADD-ON
As mentioned in the last backer update, we are working on a removable thumb stud. We don't have a design to share just yet but we do know one thing for sure, our manufacturing partner has refused to make them for free and they want a minimum order commitment of at least 1000 studs. We know not everyone wants it and we obviously aren't trying to make a killing on these but we are asking for backer support; The removable thumb stud will be just $1.00 each and they should work with other blades with 3mm or less thickness. We will share more information as soon as we have it.
BackerKit Invitations
We plan to send out BackerKit Invitations to everyone else tomorrow (or about 24 hours) if there are no issues with the Smoke Test. We will post another backer update when they are ready to go out.

REKT campaign funding complete! What's next?

Our REKT campaign closed with 777 backers and $42,585 in pledges! 🤗
WHAT'S NEXT? 🤔
Kickstarter is going to need two weeks to collect pledges. Once all the funds are collected they will release it to us. We will then be able to pay our manufacturing partners the remaining balances due for REKT. Our manufacturing partners are still working around the clock and in a couple of weeks we will share status updates of their progress. During the two week collection phase, we will be working on our BackerKit Survey & Pre-Order store where you will be able to confirm your pledge reward, purchase add-ons (e.g. additional knives, shipping upgrades, and other Dapper Design products, etc.) You will also provide us your shipping address so we know where to send your package and pay the standard shipping fees.
We will be sending out invitations as well as a Backer Update with instructions on how to use BackerKit in about 2-3 weeks.
NEXT PROJECT 🛠️
While we wait for the new REKT prototypes to be made (e.g. REKT with a flipper tab), we wanted to take the opportunity to let you know we already have prototypes for our next Kickstarter project! The idea is during the next 2-3 weeks of downtime, we are going to be juggling customer service messages/comments, shipping out daily orders from our website, and putting in work towards our next Kickstarter launch. 👍 We don't have an ETA on when this project will be ready but the idea is to launch as soon as we begin delivering REKT rewards and we hope to have earned your support on that one as well!

Flipper tab CAD drawings

Hey Backers,
Just a quick update to share with you the new CAD drawings featuring the flipper tab upgrade. As many of you already know, several days ago we ran a poll to see what the majority of backers would prefer. The ultimate result was for us to add a flipper tab feature to the knife.

The flipper tab is going to be a very useful feature because it allows users to open and close the blade with one hand. The previous design, although more "simple" visually, it would have actually required both hands to operate.
We are making functional prototypes now and will be back with more news as they develop.
