Hey Backers,
We are very excited to launch our latest project the ION Titanium Bolt Action Pen!
We listened to some of the comments and suggestions provided by backers who had a chance to preview the page in advance and have decided to add a Black Stainless Steel PVD, Copper, and also Brass version of the pens. Although we do not have prototype samples made yet in these materials, we have put in some render photos for you to see once the page goes live. Initially we were just going to offer the matte black aluminum and the stonewashed titanium versions.
When are you launching?
We are scheduled to launch on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022 at 8AM PST and we would absolutely love to have your support on this project as well. This is going to be an awesome pen to add to your EDC collection especially if you own one of our ION Titanium Pocket Flashlights:

What's up with all the notifications I'm going to get?!
In order to have the strongest launch possible we will most likely send out several email notifications to you regarding the launch. We want to apologize to you now in advance for this. The reason is because we know many of you have been supporters of ours for several years and when we send out backer updates on previous projects, you may get notifications on every single one. So if you pledged on more than one project from us in the past, you're most likely going to see two notifications or more. We wish there was a better way to do this without having to blow up your email boxes but we haven't found the perfect solution yet. Sorry again in advance. 🙏

Shipping resumes this weekend! CUSTOMS DELAY

Hey Backers,
We wanted to let you know that we need a couple more days to finish shipping rewards. We initially said we would be done by tomorrow but that was because our last batch of REKT Minimalists were suppose to arrive to us last Friday, September 16th but CUSTOMS in Anchorage, Alaska (not FedEx’s fault) actually held onto them for a total of 10 days as they received the goods on the 13th and typically it only takes like 3 days to clear customs.
As you can see above, we are now suppose to receive the shipments tomorrow at which time we will be able to resume shipping rewards. We didn't think CUSTOMS would give us any holds because the first two batches arrived so quickly. We were planning to give a backer update earlier this week but wanted to wait until we got an update from FedEx. We got the message just a few hours ago which is why we are sending a late night backer update right now.
In any case, we apologize for this unforeseen delay.
Comments & Suggestions
We wanted to take this time to let you know that we are reading comments and messages and taking notes. We do this so that we can improve on future projects. We have received both good (mostly good) and a few bad feedback regarding REKT but this is also why we like coming to Kickstarter; we are able to use backer feedback to learn what it is that backers liked or didn’t like, and what they were expecting versus what can be done and at what pricing point. As we mentioned in the campaign page, REKT was purposely designed to be a heavy-duty, utilitarian box cutter that you can use for general every day cutting tasks at an affordable price, and with your help we think we accomplished that. We understand it could have been made with other materials (e.g. titanium) and with more features (e.g. flipper tab, ambidextrous friendly, etc.) but then that wouldn't have been the original vision behind REKT. It would actually have been an all new premium pocket knife. With that said, we are going to work on just that; a high-end, premium pocket knife (e.g. titanium) and with a lot of the features backers wished were on REKT. At the end of this campaign when we are finished shipping rewards, we are going to ask backers to give us feedback on what you want to see in a premium, high-end knife and help us make the next one. We want to know what you would consider to be a high-end pocket knife and what features it should have. Stand-by for that in the near future!
Warranty
It is possible some of you may receive a defective REKT such as the blade will not open or close very smoothly. With all products some manufacturing defects may occur which is why we offer warranty. Before contacting us for a warranty exchange, first please consider downloading and reading our User Guides here: https://dapperdesign.com/pages/user-guides We just added revision 1.0 user guide for REKT with some instructions on "breaking in" the blade/pivot.
